Wall Textiles in Carbon Basketweave
The 5-star Crown Metropol Hotel in Melbourne, Australia was completed in March 2010. Offering 658 guest rooms, 12 dedicated spa rooms, 32 suites and 1 apartment it is ideally situated near the International Convention Center on Southbank. Bates Smart Pty Ltd. acted as architects and interior designers for the 28-level hotel that features a unique wave-like shape and sleek podium entry.
Chilewich products were selected for multiple spaces throughout the hotel. Basketweave Carbon and Oyster can be seen in guest room side panels and Basketweave Oyster was selected as a wall textile in the lobby. Bamboo Oat was also used for inserts in bedside and amenities trays.
All Chilewich upholstery fabrics are covered by the internationally recognized GreenGuard® program certified by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. This certification is also recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council and therefore Chilewich upholstery fabrics also earn LEED points. Chilewich textiles also contain Microban® to inhibit the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.
