Machine washing or dishwasher use is not recommended.
Permanent stains may result when certain food or liquids are left on the textile of stainless steel napkin rings for long periods before cleaning. This is more likely to occur with lighter-colored textiles.
DO NOT SOAK FOR PROLONGED PERIODS IN HOT WATER (not more than 160°F/70°C) OR USE HARSH CHEMICALS.
DO NOT RUN THROUGH THE DISHWASHER.

NAPKINS
- Machine wash warm (40°C or 100°F). Non-chlorine bleach only.
- Dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
- Warm iron (110°C or 230°F). For best results, ironing should be done on slightly damp napkins.

MENU COVERS
- Simply wipe the Chilewich textile with a damp sponge/cloth. Standard antibacterial cleanser can also be used. Air dry. Do not run through dishwasher.

WORKTOP
- Avoid placing objects made of rubber on your Worktop, as this may cause discoloration.
- Do not machine wash or iron.
- Your Worktop is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It is treated to prevent fading, but, like all textiles, may fade when placed in full sunlight for extended periods.
- Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 220 °F / 104 °C.
- If rolling up your Worktop for transport or storage, ensure that the woven side faces outward.
- Blot spills quickly with a lint-free cloth.
- To clean, wipe face of mat with damp cloth, using mild detergent as needed. If heavily soiled, rinse mat with water and allow to dry. Scrub spots and stains with medium-bristle brush after treating with spot cleaner or bleach-based cleanser. Your Worktop may also be soaked in a 1:10 bleach solution.
- Oil-based staining or soiling may require the use of a degreasing cleaner to remove oil residue.
- When cleaning surface on which mat sits, allow surface to dry completely before replacing mat.

WOVEN FLOOR MATS

- Vacuum to remove loose dirt.
- If necessary, clean with a residential carpet cleaner or wet mop the surface. Lift the mat off the floor and allow face and backing to air dry completely before placing the mat on the floor again.
- Blot spills quickly with a lint-free cloth. Should a stain occur, scrub with a soft bristle brush and a bleach-based cleanser; this will remove the stain without altering the fabric.
- Do not iron. Do not machine wash.
- Avoid use of rubber castors or placing objects made of rubber on the woven floor mat, discoloration will occur.
- May be used on radiant heated floors provided the temperature does not exceed 85F/30°C
- When moving or storing, roll up your mat with weave facing outward

We recommend that you occasionally lift and air out your woven floor mat. In sustained damp conditions, where moisture may be trapped under the mat for prolonged periods, this practice will keep the backing from clinging to the floor. If mat is left unmoved for prolonged periods of time, some flooring surfaces may interact with mat backing. This occurrence is easily avoided by simply lifting or moving your mat occasionally.

Special instructions for outdoor use:
- Chilewich woven mats can be used outdoors and will perform well with proper maintenance.
- Best suited on dry surfaces.
- If the mat gets wet, it will absorb water, but will also allow the water to evaporate without harming the mat.
- As with indoor use, make sure to air out the mat occasionally by turning it over.
- All Chilewich mats are made with the latest color technology to prevent fading.
- But, like all textiles, the mats may fade when placed in full sun for protracted periods.

- Good in all weather. Quick to dry.
- Mold, mildew and chlorine resistant.
- Do not lay on top of rubber floor or place objects made of rubber on top of the mat. Discoloration of the mat or floor may occur.

We recommend that you occasionally lift, move and air out your shag mat. Although our shag mats are mold-resistant, the flooring underneath them may not be.
