The Museum of Modern Art was founded in 1929 in New York City and is the foremost museum of modern art in the world. Over three million people visited MoMA in 2010. Terrace 5 is one of three dining areas at MoMA and is located adjacent to the Painting and Sculpture Garden. The café features furnishings from leading modernist designers and manufacturers, including Arne Jacobsen, Georg Jensen and Fritz Hansen. MoMA selected Chilewich placemats in Mini Basketweave Dill and Turquoise for the dining space.
All Chilewich woven vinyl products contain Microban® antimicrobial protection. Microban® works continuously for the lifetime of the product to inhibit the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. Chilewich fabrics are GreenGuard® certified, which protects human health and quality of life through the reduction of chemical exposure and improved indoor air quality.
