Located in New York City, Le Bernardin restaurant is renowned worldwide for its pioneering seafood cuisine. The original restaurant was opened in Paris in 1972 by sibling duo Maguy and Gilbert Le Coze. After the unexpected death of her brother, Gilbert, in 1994, Maguy partnered with Chef Eric Ripert, who now owns Le Bernardin with her. Bentel & Bentel completely re-designed the restaurant in 2011 and added a lounge with a separate menu, which was a first for the restaurant. Le Bernardin has received many awards in New York, including a record-breaking fifth consecutive four-star rating from the New York Times.

Chilewich Bamboo placemats in Chino and Basketweave placemats in Khaki were selected for the lounge at the restaurant. All Chilewich woven vinyl products contain Microban® antimicrobial protection. Microban® works continuously for the lifetime of the product to inhibit the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. Chilewich fabrics are GreenGuard® certified, which protects human health and quality of life through the reduction of chemical exposure and improved indoor air quality. All Chilewich woven products are finished in our facility in the USA and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
